This spacious and beautifully decorated apartment is located on the ground floor within Edificio El Castillo, a very private gated development of 18 apartments, located just 50 yards from the Los Castillicos beach and Lo Pagan’s wonderful range of value for money restaurants. The apartment has the benefit of a huge roof terrace, accessed by a lift, and provides stunning sea views of the entire Mar Menor. This apartment is ideal, whether you want a beach holiday, a base for touring the coastal area, including the historic city of Cartagena or simply escape the winter blues. Secure car parking in the underground car park of El Castillo is also available at no extra charge, a brilliant resource given the popularity of Lo Pagan in the summer months and other holidays, which means you cannot normally park near the apartment unless you use the garage. Our philosophy We have been criticized by many who say we have gone too far in refurbishing our holiday home for 'renters'. We don't take any notice of them because we believe people who book our apartment are our customers and should be entitled to a high standard of accommodation. So we have installed the best we have found in Spain. We have used Spanish contractors to refurbish the apartment; and provide a range of 300 Thread Count Eygyption Sheets and good quality Towels. Our china and utensils are from Ikea, and our artwork has several original pieces. The apartment in detail The well equipped kitchen has ample cupboard space and includes a washing machine, full size hob and oven, large "american" type fridge, and microwave. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. The stylish sitting room has in addition to TV, a DVD player (DVD’s in the sideboard) and equipment for playing and amplifying your favourite music by simply plugging in your mobile phone/tablet and playing any music you have on it. Additional Charges The service charge you see on the booking site is the administration charge for the booking company. We also charge for the cleaning so you don't have to. This is 95 Euros which includes doing the laundry and cleaning and also covers getting the keys to you and collecting them from you as you leave. The apartment is fully air conditioned on a metered system using cards which you can buy off our agent. We do this to preserve the system, as we have had customers that turn the air conditioning on, open all the windows and blinds and go out for the day. The system heats and well as cools, and depending how you use it you should budget 30 Euros per week. The Locality The apartment is within easy walking distance of Lo Pagan shopping centre, whilst daily baked bread, milk, wine and a wide range of basics are readily available from a shop nearby. Bike rental hire is available from several local outlets. There are 11 golf courses within 30 minutes of Lo Pagan, The nearest is the Torre Pacheco Golf Course a couple of stops off the Motorway towards Cartagena. • El Valle Golf Resort • Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort • La Manga Club Golf Resort • La Peraleja Golf Course • La Serena Golf Resort • La Torre Golf Resort • Mar Menor Village Golf Resort • Roda Resort Golf Course • Saurines Las Terrazas de la Torre Golf Course • Torre Pacheco Golf Course Whatever your interests there is so much to do; you can have that perfect beach holiday, take a food tour of Lo Pagan’s many bars, bistros and restaurants, indulge in a shopping spree at the nearby Dos Mares shopping mall, visit the funfair, then during the high season, browse the many artisan craft stalls, which offer everything from antique books to exquisite hand crafted jewellery and sculptures at a fraction of the cost they would be in the UK. Or why not take in a mud bath (famous for its curative effects), check out the Los Molinos windmill, learn to wind surf, visit the harbour and boat club then take the hour long ferry across the Mar Menor, for only 4 euros. Like gardening and wildlife? Then a visit to Lo Pagan’s botanical gardens and the nearby salt flats to view the flamingo colony and other wildlife is a must. If your hiring a car then a visit to La Zenia Boulevard (a shoppers paradise) or a trip to Torre De La Horadada (wonderful spot with great restaurants, Beaches and views over the Mediterranean Sea), and a visit to Cartagena, a roman town with an original roman amphitheatre and roman streets and buildings uncovered and brought back to life by archaeologists. You can get joint tickets for all of these at the Roman Amphitheatre – we saw 3 of these in a day for 24 Euros which covered 4 of us! There are also Boat trips around the bay. Don’t use the Catamaran as there is no commentary, use the Tourist Boat which tells the story of the history of the harbour. We also need to cover the cleaning charge so you don't have to spend your holiday cleaning. this is 95 Euros which includes our Agent meeting you with the keys, doing the laundry, cleaning and checking the apartment. $
